I Left My Heart At Aurora
This is the song we've made during our 4th day at Bgy. Umiray, Dingalan, Aurora. Hope is the main theme of the song. Hope that only God can give. The chorus speaks mainly of the beauty of the sunrise as can be seen at the eastern coast.
I miss the people especially the kids who were so faithful to us ever since we came to that place. When you tell them to go back tomorrow, they'll be right there waking you up in the morning shouting "Good morning!!! Breakfast is ready!!! I miss the classrooms which served as our bedrooms. I miss the cold mornings and the binagkat (a specialty the teens made for us while we are doing the song).
I feel like I became attached to the place even if I just stayed there for 6 days. I gave my Bible to Silvert and one of my shirts to Ernie. Silvert and Ernie were just 2 of the teens we've shared the 4SL to. I also miss playing with the children. They taught me a lot of games and I had such a wonderful time playing with them. I miss Bebe (a 4-year-old child from the school site) so much! She became like my little sister while I'm away from home.
Some of us left the place crying longing for more. But life must go on here in Manila. I miss the beautiful sunrise and the strong waves. My need of a loving God became more vivid to me during this trip. This song brings me back to the place where I left my heart... to the place where I got to know more about God and His plans for my life.
